What’s this?! A series about the Holy Trinity? Isn’t it a mystery? Something we can not understand? How can we study THAT?!

That’s a good and logical question, and one I asked my Lord when I felt the nudge to study this topic. My question, asked very humbly of course, was: “Why would You reveal something to us that we can’t understand, Father?”

As I pondered that question it came to me that there might be something we need to see concerning our awesome God in His very clear revelation of His Trinitarian nature. But what?

Many people don’t give the Trinity much thought because it doesn’t make sense to us. So we simply ignore the doctrine for the most part. It’s not that we reject it; it’s that we ignore it. Yet the Catholic Church says it is also “the central mystery of Christian faith and life.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 234)

Actually, there is much God has revealed about the Trinity that we can learn.
